About the position

This remote position involves managing small to moderately complex projects within a large multi-facility healthcare organization. The role requires the application of technical principles and concepts to solve moderately complex problems, while also providing guidance and support to less experienced staff. The individual will collaborate with various stakeholders to analyze user requirements, develop systems, and ensure effective project delivery, all while embodying the organization's mission and core values.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small and moderately complex projects, establishing and implementing new or revised system requirements or procedures.
  • Analyze user requirements and develop systems for moderately complex processes.
  • Coordinate activities of project teams and provide direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff.
  • Build and enhance effective working relationships with internal and external contacts, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients to determine information and data requirements and evaluate/report on various topics.
  • Support and develop business solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Demonstrate service excellence and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients, employees, and community members.
  • Apply technical standards and concepts to provide solutions to complex problems while mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Prepare documentation and assist in defining workflows with relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in projects and assist project leaders, taking the lead on smaller projects as needed.
  • Synthesize data and analyze multiple approaches to issues or problems.
  • Create and maintain standard team-specific documentation and improve documentation standards.
  • Identify, manage, and communicate issues and risks, escalating as appropriate.
  • Translate business needs into system configuration and workflow validations.
  • Build and participate in test plan development and act as a resource during testing and upgrades.
  • Plan and coordinate downtime, change management, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Perform rotational on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Epic certification within 90 days of hire (must be kept up to date).
  • 4 years of industry-related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in relevant technical disciplines upon hire.
