About the position

The IS Business Intelligence Analyst II at CareOregon is responsible for curating and producing data products that support decision-making in healthcare. This role involves designing and creating Tableau dashboards, automating data pipelines, and collaborating with subject matter experts to gather requirements and develop solutions. The analyst will also lead efforts to identify new tools and processes to enhance data governance and support other analysts in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify opportunities for building repeatable data products.
  • Gather requirements and design solutions.
  • Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau to build compliant dashboards.
  • Build enterprise external facing dashboards with row level security.
  • Utilize SQL skills for identifying and shaping data for developing solutions.
  • Automate data pipelines and operations of data products using programming skills.
  • Understand and codify algorithms and models developed by Healthcare Analysts.
  • Create new algorithms and analysis models as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, graphs, and tables for end users.
  • Create user and testing documentation for data products.
  • Maintain technical documentation such as data dictionaries and metric definitions.
  • Update and maintain legacy reporting assets as needed.
  • Provide follow-up support for end users after training.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop strong data pipelines and reusable data products.
  • Stay current with technology and analytical methods; continually learn new skills.
  • Participate in community of practice and analytic committees to improve skills.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' business intelligence experience including analytical techniques, Tableau dashboards, SQL development, and report creation using SSRS or Power BI.
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or related technical areas may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in planning, implementing, and summarizing complex analyses and reporting projects.
  • Experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Experience with statistical software packages such as Python, R, or SAS.
  • Experience in the healthcare or health insurance industry.
  • Experience creating dashboards and working with claims and enrollment.

Benefits

  • Estimated hiring range of $88,430 - $108,080 per year with a 5% bonus target.
