About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at Ochsner Health is responsible for overseeing all stages of the business intelligence cycle. This includes understanding business objectives, collecting and translating business requirements into data requirements, designing and developing reports or dashboards, and ensuring the deployment of business intelligence components according to best practices. The role involves collaboration with both business and technology departments to analyze and validate data, monitor production systems, and resolve any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

• Develops logical modeling and presentation solutions to implement requirements using best practices within the business intelligence environments.
• Works with business stakeholders to understand their business objectives and develop analytical solutions to improve business operations.
• Maintains and develops documentation to identify and define processes or procedures.
• Manages data by following best practices.
• Supports and monitors business intelligence systems and processes.
• Administers business intelligence server(s) and/or processes.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), business, or related field.
• 1 year of experience with SQL programming language, data analysis and profiling, relational database systems, reporting, dashboards and business intelligence systems.
• 1 year of experience as business analyst, collaborating with end users to define metrics and business requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience with Oracle, SQL programming language, and data analysis and profiling.
• 1 year of experience with data visualization using Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise edition and/or Crystal Reports.
• 1 year of healthcare experience.
