About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at Ochsner Health System is responsible for all stages of the business intelligence cycle, including understanding business objectives, collecting requirements, designing and developing reports or dashboards, and ensuring accurate documentation. This role collaborates with various departments to analyze data, monitor production systems, and resolve issues, contributing to improved business operations and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Understand business objectives and collect business requirements to translate them into data requirements.
• Design and develop reports or dashboards using best practices in business intelligence.
• Schedule and deploy business intelligence components according to standards.
• Collaborate with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use.
• Monitor production systems for issues and resolve or escalate them as necessary.
• Maintain and develop documentation to identify and define processes or procedures.
• Support and monitor business intelligence systems and processes.
• Administer business intelligence servers and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, business, or related field.
• 1 year of experience with SQL programming language, data analysis, and profiling.
• 1 year of experience as a business analyst, collaborating with end users to define metrics and business requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience with Oracle and SQL programming language.
• 1 year of experience with data visualization using Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise edition, and/or Crystal Reports.
• 1 year of healthcare experience.
