About the position

The IS Data Warehouse Architect II position at CareOregon is responsible for performing data warehouse architecture at an intermediate level. The role focuses on the design and development of data models and ETL specifications, data analysis, system design and architecture, standards and policy administration, and vendor coordination. Responsibilities

• Create data models for moderate to advanced subjects.
• Develop moderate to advanced ETL specifications to meet business data needs.
• Analyze data sources and recommend solutions, including potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Participate in long-term data warehouse and dashboard architecture planning.
• Manage data warehouse and analytics architectures for reference and solution development.
• Propose requirements, standards, and best practices for data modeling and ETL specifications.
• Conduct product and vendor research and present recommendations to management.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of data warehouse architecture experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with cloud data warehousing tools such as Snowflake or Redshift.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for system performance issues.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers and leaders across departments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in health care or managed care.
• Data Architect experience.
