About the position

The IS Support Services Administrator is responsible for providing on-site technical support for PCs, printers, and related equipment. This role involves managing service requests, ensuring compliance with IS standards, and maintaining effective communication with organizational partners. The administrator will oversee local IS services, including hardware inventory and purchasing, while also supporting database management and facilitating compliance with data integrity and quality assurance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support for PCs, printers, and related equipment.
  • Manage ticketing and collaborate with the IS Support Center to enhance user experience.
  • Ensure adherence to IS standards and proper documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with organizational partners regarding service requests and incidents.
  • Oversee local IS services, including hardware inventory and purchasing.
  • Support database management for both local and remote databases.
  • Facilitate compliance with data integrity and quality assurance requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of IS support experience.
  • Proficiency in PC installation and maintenance.
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with inventory management and purchasing processes.
  • Experience in local compliance and quality assurance standards.
  • Experience with scientific software and vendor liaison.
  • Strong communication skills.
