About the position

The IS Support Technician role is focused on providing technical support during the migration to Windows 11 across various hospitals and clinics. This position involves installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of end-point devices and applications, ensuring that users receive timely assistance and that technical issues are resolved efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, configure, monitor, test, maintain, and troubleshoot end-point devices, applications, or networks.
  • Perform accurate documentation of processes and issues.
  • Read and interpret technical documentation to complete moves, changes, and break/fix for hardware or software components.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot moderately complex issues.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and vendors to resolve requests, issues, and problems in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience with installation and configuration of Windows 7 & Windows 10.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of PXE Boot, desktop troubleshooting, and configuring printers and peripheral devices.
  • Basic understanding of networking, telecom, and SCCM is a big plus.
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of the operations and functions of end-point devices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hardware refresh processes.
  • Familiarity with cable plant infrastructure.
