About the position

The Senior IS Systems Analyst at Nationwide Children's Hospital is responsible for supporting, monitoring, and maintaining interfaces between the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other clinical systems. This role involves identifying process improvement opportunities, leading interface specification meetings, designing interfaces, developing test plans, and ensuring data synchronization across applications. The analyst will also provide 24x7 on-call support and participate in testing for system upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Support, monitor, and maintain existing interfaces between Epic EMR and other clinical systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements for existing and new interfaces.
• Organize and lead interface specification meetings to gather customer requirements.
• Build interface implementation project plans and design effective interfaces.
• Develop test plans per technical specifications and program integration solutions.
• Perform quality assurance testing for each interface and ensure data synchronization across applications.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
• Participate in unit and integrated testing for all upgrades to Epic and Cloverleaf systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Five years of progressive experience as a Systems Analyst, Programmer Analyst, IT Consultant, or related role.
• Master's degree and three years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree and five years of experience.
• At least one certification in an Epic Electronic Medical Record application.
• Certification in Cloverleaf Interface Administration or Epic Bridges or Epic Interface.
