About the position

The ISG Financial Crimes Risk (FCR) Team is seeking a Vice President to lead change management initiatives related to Know Your Customer (KYC) policies. This role involves acting as a primary liaison between various teams to ensure effective communication and implementation of KYC changes, while also managing the maintenance of FCR procedures and supporting audit processes. The position requires a strong understanding of AML/KYC regulations and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between GFC and CORDS Advisory and Training to review and agree on proposed KYC changes.
  • Facilitate meetings to discuss and refine KYC policy proposals, ensuring stakeholder engagement.
  • Socialize KYC policy changes with impacted teams to initiate impact assessment and implementation planning.
  • Coordinate feedback sessions to ensure all relevant perspectives are considered prior to final approval.
  • Analyze and prioritize KYC policy changes based on risk assessment and operational impact.
  • Monitor the implementation of KYC policy changes across 1LOD ensuring timely updates and adherence to deadlines.
  • Prepare regular reports for governance forum, highlighting progress, challenges, and outcomes of KYC policy implementations.
  • Lead a quarterly forum to obtain stakeholder approval for new or modified exclusions.
  • Manage FCR procedure maintenance process and ensure updates meet organizational standards.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing KYC processes and policies based on feedback and implementation outcomes.
  • Ensure documentation and information is complete, accurate, and timely for audit support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years professional experience in a financial crimes/anti-money laundering group at a financial institution.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and standards, including local and international requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and the ability to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and drive process improvements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access).
