About the position

The ISR Data Analyst position at The Garrett Group involves supporting the Joint Chiefs of Staff in providing a wide range of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities. The role focuses on planning, integrating, and coordinating ISR efforts to support strategic and global operations, while advocating for ISR capabilities. The position requires a strong background in data analytics and experience with various software tools to manage and visualize data effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data extractions, transformation, and loading.
  • Manage data warehouses and utilize COTS or GOTS data analytic software.
  • Conduct content management using various content management programs.
  • Utilize data analytics software such as Tableau for data visualizations.
  • Create and analyze maps using ArcGIS Portal & Insights.
  • Normalize data using MS Excel VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).
  • Perform data cleansing and normalization tasks.
  • Build data dashboards accessible to customers.
  • Understand the military operational environment and defense collection management processes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
  • Articulate requirements and procedures through effective written and oral communication.
  • Understand the intelligence cycle and its relation to DoD collection operations, platforms, and sensors.
  • Demonstrate experience with IC, DoD, and global ISR intelligence disciplines such as GEOINT and SIGINT.

Requirements

  • At least four (4) years of demonstrated relevant experience within the past six (6) years.
  • Proficiency in data analytics software such as Tableau and SAS.
  • Experience with ArcGIS and Google Earth for visualization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and DoD collection operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Collection Requirements Management and associated software tools such as GIMS, PRISM, NSRP, and SAVANT.
  • Experience with Collection Operations Management and associated software tools such as ROME and BVI.
