About the position

The IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the company's computer and telecommunications networks. This role ensures that all systems run effectively, providing sufficient computing power to meet business performance needs. The IT Administrator will handle user setup, respond to network and software issues, and ensure compliance with regulations, particularly in a healthcare context.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and diagnoses network problems
• Collects IT usage stats
• Makes recommendations for improving the company's IT systems
• Carries out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions
• Manages backup, security, and passwords
• Tracks all network and software related licensing and works with Director to ensure all are maintained timely
• Sets up new users and trains them on systems as required
• Monitors internet and email use to ensure compliance with company policies
• Supports Director in analysis of business requirements of all departments to determine technology needs
• Identifies the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems as assigned and reports to Director
• Keeps current on all changes in the industry, particularly regulatory changes as they relate to CCRCs, skilled nursing, assisted living and other applicable clinical services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer or information science, or a related field (MCs/MA preferred)
• Proficiency in understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
• Experience in the installation of IT hardware and software
• Excellent decision-making and analytical skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be eligible for full-time hours on W2 and local to Sarasota, FL

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of HIPAA and/or healthcare background
• Experience with VMware server
• O365 Administration
• Willingness to learn additional applications
