About the position

The IT Advisory Enterprise Architect - Pega Applications at Zurich North America is responsible for leading the design and architecture of Pega applications, ensuring they align with enterprise architecture standards and meet business requirements. This role involves creating detailed design documents, overseeing application development, and collaborating with various teams to optimize application performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of Pega applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with enterprise architecture standards.
• Create and maintain detailed design documents, including class structures, data models, and process flows.
• Oversee the development and configuration of Pega applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with development teams and Pega product teams to resolve technical issues and optimize application performance.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and 6 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent in Information Technology and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree in Information Technology and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area.
• Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Nice-to-haves

• 10+ years of experience in software development using Pega
• Expertise in Pega including Pega Rules, Pega BPM, Pega UX frameworks like Cosmos and Constellation, Pega DX APIs
• Proficiency in Pega application design, including class structures, data models, and process flows.
• Experience with Pega integration technologies - queue based, API based, and file based integrations
• Knowledge in Commercial Insurance domain and hands-on experience in Commercial insurance system of records.
