About the position

The IT Analyst 2 - Epic Grand Central position at Tampa General Hospital involves working under the direct supervision of a manager or director, adhering to established policies and procedures. The Analyst II is responsible for performing routine analysis, which includes evaluating hardware and software based on end-user criteria. This role encompasses a variety of tasks such as workflow analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation, management, and support of assigned application systems and/or projects. The Analyst II will directly interact with assigned department managers and senior-level staff to provide automation services that support the department's strategic and operational objectives. In addition to these responsibilities, the Analyst II is tasked with maintaining system specifications and technical documentation. They will act as a liaison between Information Technology vendors and Tampa General Hospital (TGH). Participation in and/or leadership of department and hospital task forces, focus groups, and committees as assigned by their supervisor is also expected to meet group objectives. The role requires employing intermediate analytical and technical evaluative processes, as well as managerial and interpersonal skills. It is essential for the Analyst II to perform their job duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of information technology/applications experience including build, test, and support of job-related applications or equivalent healthcare-related experience.
  • Epic Grand Central, Prelude, or Cadence Certification.
