About the position

The IT Analyst II position within the Department of Government Operations focuses on merging a new application with a legacy system to create a seamless transition for users. The role involves enhancing user management, developing new modules, and ensuring effective integration and testing of the systems. The analyst will also be responsible for documentation and knowledge transfer to support future maintenance and expansion of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop enhanced user management and portal access features.
• Design a modern, responsive landing page and navigation in ReactJS.
• Enhance legacy WaterLink menuing to align with the new application.
• Develop specific modules for data and reporting functionality.
• Conduct code integration and testing to ensure seamless operation between systems.
• Provide comprehensive documentation and training for future teams.
• Monitor and fix bugs, ensuring a smooth user experience.

Requirements

• Proficiency in NodeJS and ReactJS for application development.
• Experience with user authentication and role-based access controls.
• Knowledge of serverless functions and database interactions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and GitHub Actions.
• Ability to write comprehensive documentation and conduct training sessions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS CloudWatch for monitoring services.
• Familiarity with Utah Design principles for UX design.
• Background in government operations or public sector IT projects.
