The IT Analyst/Programmer II position at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) is a full-time role within the Information Technology Services (ITS) department. The primary function of this position is to support the university's mission by designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications, interfaces, automation, and integrations. This role is crucial in enhancing the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the university's administrators, faculty, and staff through the use of technology. In this role, the IT Analyst/Programmer II will be responsible for developing and automating necessary outbound and inbound data feeds to and from the ERP system. This includes performing programming tasks using intermediate database queries with SQL and PL/SQL, as well as utilizing vendor-supplied Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and other software technologies as required. The position emphasizes the successful completion of technical tasks related to the implementation, development, maintenance, enhancement, automation, and support of ERP systems and their integrations, all aimed at supporting the strategic direction of the university and improving business processes. Additionally, the IT Analyst/Programmer II will serve as a technical resource for other members of the ITS division and campus constituents, conducting research and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues submitted through the helpdesk system. The role also involves ensuring that appropriate testing is performed and validated in collaboration with technical and functional staff before implementing new or enhanced technology solutions in production. The candidate will be expected to communicate effectively with users, ITS staff, and vendors to resolve application systems issues and contribute to a team environment that requires technical expertise and guidance for administrative technical solutions.
