The position will provide on-site IT services for the plant/facility, addressing a wide range of issues from connectivity problems in the plant to hardware issues in the office area, as well as routine user support incidents. The individual must effectively communicate with all levels of associates within the facility and develop a deep understanding of the systems that support the business.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage all computer/network components including servers, switches, cabling, and desktop systems at assigned locations.
  • Program Cisco Switches for Local Area Network.
  • Document Local Area Network at assigned location(s).
  • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for site-specific technologies in use at the facility.
  • Resolve production floor network connectivity issues.
  • Provide hardware and network support for Production Floor computer systems.
  • Work with end users and propose new hardware and software solutions to support the business.
  • Maintain the CCTV camera system at both plants.
  • Support users with User Account generation and User Access Control requests.
  • Support user VM instances in a limited function.
  • Plan and coordinate with electrical and telecom vendors for support and plant projects with a solid understanding of CAT5/6 cabling.
  • Test all hardware and software modifications before they are introduced into production.
  • Provide hardware and software diagnostics for network, hardware, and software issues.
  • Manage technology projects in compliance with IT standards.
  • Maintain physical security system.
  • Support all printer functions at assigned locations.
  • Inventory Management of all IT materials: Ordering, stock, and maintaining for laptops, phones, misc IT supplies.
  • Assist in after-hours emergency network maintenance for production.
  • Monitor help desk tickets and resolve as quickly as possible with the goal of achieving a 3.5 or greater on the quarterly IT survey.

Requirements

  • Three years related experience.
  • Working/troubleshooting knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Office 2010, 2013 & 2016.
  • Understanding and functional knowledge of Citrix desktop/client.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Switch configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Network cabling and connectivity.
  • MCSE Certification is a plus; not required.
  • Fundamental understanding of VLANS.
  • A+ Certification is a plus; not required.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer support abilities.
  • Willingness to work in a plant/industrial environment.
  • Willingness to travel.
