About the position

As an IT Analyst at ZF Friedrichshafen AG, you will play a crucial role in coordinating, maintaining, and supporting on-site applications and system infrastructure. This includes working with Production Control System standards such as SAP, PCS, QDB, QDC, and PVS, along with associated operating systems and software in both Just-In-Time (JIT) and Non-JIT environments. Your responsibilities will encompass the implementation, rollout, and management of IT systems and software packages that adhere to global standards, ensuring that all local data and telecom services are consistently available. You will provide expertise in overall JIS/Non-JIS processes, network, server, and telecommunication services, as well as IT solutions across various functional areas. Maintaining comprehensive IT documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures, will be essential. You will also be tasked with diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing efficient and practical solutions, and escalating complex problems when necessary. In addition, you will implement and enforce IT security protocols, including access controls, firewalls, and data encryption, ensuring compliance with industry standards and relevant regulations. Monitoring and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services, will be part of your daily activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will live the standard incident support process, particularly for JIS and production-critical issues, collaborating closely with Process Experts and both global and local support teams. Furthermore, you will manage software licenses, inventories, and compatibility testing for hardware and software, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, maintains and supports on-site applications and system infrastructure, including Production Control System standard (SAP, PCS, QDB, QDC, PVS) and associated operating systems/software in the JIS/Non-JIS environment.
  • Implements, rolls-out and manages IT systems and software packages that comply with global standards.
  • Guarantees availability of all local data and telecom services.
  • Provides expertise for overall JIS/Non-JIS processes and network, server and telecommunication services, as well as IT solutions across functional areas.
  • Maintains IT-documentation of diagrams, configurations and procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues by providing efficient and practical solutions. Escalate complex problems when necessary.
  • Implement and enforce IT security protocols, including access controls, firewalls, and data encryption, while ensuring adherence to industry standards and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Lives the standard incident support process, especially for JIS and production critical issues, in close collaboration with Process Experts and global and local support teams.
  • Performs fault finding and trouble-shooting of all network, application and core systems infrastructure to ensure an appropriate coverage of IT services.
  • Manages software licenses register, inventories and compatibility testing for hardware and software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience required.
  • Verbal and written English communication.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a JIT/JIS manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP and databases.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows OS, desktop, Active Directory, and notebook devices.
  • Familiar with network technologies and knowledge of VMware.
  • Proven team building ability as well as good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
