About the position

The position supports Goodwill's mission by installing, testing, and maintaining technology assets while ensuring best practices in technology usage throughout the organization. The role involves collaborating with various departments to enhance technology utilization, developing new processes, and providing technical assistance to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Increase utilization of existing technologies by collaborating with multiple departments to develop new processes and refine existing processes.
  • Research and develop new technologies that support existing processes and promote new processes throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development to develop procedures and training materials for effective use of new and existing technologies.
  • Create reports to support decision makers using PowerBI, Excel, Tableau, and other technologies as appropriate.
  • Create automated processes using Microsoft PowerPlatform, Python, SQL, PowerShell, and other technologies as appropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge of and follow applicable technology-related policies, procedures, certification requirements, regulations, laws, trends, and practices.
  • Diagnose, repair, and/or replace non-performing software and hardware components as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by utilizing the Help Desk system to manage service, software, or equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete all assigned goals in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor performance of business technologies and make recommendations for corrective action.
  • Provide technical assistance for presentations, meetings, and group efforts as needed.
  • Document processes in standard organization procedure format for distribution within and outside of the department.

Requirements

  • Associates degree from a two-year college or university, preferred.
  • Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems, computer networks, network administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in effective handling of a variety of priorities and timelines with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse groups/individuals and strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio, and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Network Administrator's Certificate.
  • Knowledge of LANS/WANS, Windows Server Environment, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, and backup systems.
