About the position

Mastech is a growing company dedicated to innovation and teamwork. We are currently seeking an IT Analyst for our client in the IT Services domain. This position is a contract role, with a duration of 4 months, and is located in Painted Post, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT service management and infrastructure solutions, particularly in large-scale data center environments. The IT Analyst will be responsible for developing and delivering management value-added consulting and strategic technology infrastructure solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of ITIL best practices, including ITIL V3 Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement. Additionally, familiarity with ITIL V2 Service Delivery and Service Support areas is essential, covering aspects such as Service Level, Availability, Capacity, Financial, and IT Service Continuity Management. The IT Analyst will also engage in various management processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Configuration Management, and Service Desk operations. The role involves assessing organizational maturity and transformation, applying CobiT framework best practices, and conducting business-based macro-level capacity planning. The candidate will be expected to perform business impact assessments and develop strategies for business resumption and disaster recovery. Furthermore, the IT Analyst will contribute to enterprise infrastructure architecture and distributed systems management, conduct application design reviews, and oversee storage and data modeling and migration. Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver management value-added consulting and strategic technology infrastructure solutions for distributed and large-scale data center environments.
  • Implement IT Service Management (ITSM) based on ITIL best practices, including ITIL V3 Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, and Continual Service Improvement.
  • Manage ITIL V2 Service Delivery and Service Support areas, including Service Level, Availability, Capacity, Financial, and IT Service Continuity Management.
  • Oversee Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Configuration Management, and Service Desk operations.
  • Assess organizational maturity and transformation using CobiT framework best practices.
  • Conduct business-based macro-level capacity planning and business impact assessments.
  • Develop strategies for business resumption and disaster recovery.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT service management and infrastructure solutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL V3 Service Strategy, Design, Transition, Operation, and Continual Service Improvement.
  • Experience with ITIL V2 Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Configuration Management, Service Desk, Service Level, Capacity, Performance, Business Recovery, Financial, and Availability.
  • Proficiency in enterprise infrastructure architecture and technology infrastructure assessment, planning, and implementation.
  • Experience in storage management methods and planning, capacity planning, and performance assessment.
  • Familiarity with operational assessment and managed care outsourcing.
