About the position

The IT Analyst at Adient is responsible for maintaining business continuity operations related to IT hardware and software within the facility. This role ensures that all plant hardware and software meet operational requirements to provide reliable and uninterrupted service. The IT Analyst will work closely with team members to enhance production processes, maintain IT systems, and support environmental, health, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous network integrity for the production system at the Avanzar plant, including backup and security of the network.
• Maintain office and plant computer systems, both hardware and software.
• Upgrade and repair all plant computer systems as needed.
• Install and uninstall computer software as required.
• Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement that contribute to quality and profitability.
• Update and maintain IT work instructions.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
• Provide recognition and positive reinforcement to team members to foster development.
• Maintain the company website and internal communications for employees.
• Assist in launch activities when necessary.
• Support environmental, health, and safety compliance by monitoring workplace conditions and ensuring safety standards are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with SQL queries, basic networking, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Experience using shop floor systems such as MIRA and IPC.
• Programming experience is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Post-secondary degree would be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with appropriate software programs.
• Ability to create visual aids for communication purposes.
