About the position

The IT and Epic Financial/Budget Analyst Sr position is responsible for managing the financial aspects of major IT projects, particularly focusing on budget development, analysis, forecasting, and cost tracking. This role involves performing complex financial analyses to provide insights that support decision-making for capital and operating costs within the IT division. The analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance visibility into spending, control costs, and ensure accurate budget tracking. Additionally, the position may involve testing and working with IT and Finance leaders on business and system design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial management of major IT projects, including budget development and analysis.
• Conduct complex financial analysis, including cost-benefit analysis, trend and variance analysis, and forecasts.
• Deliver insights to Senior Administration and project leaders to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Collaborate across the organization to resolve issues and enhance visibility into spending.
• Develop and implement controls for processes impacting project costs to eliminate coding errors.
• Lead the setup and completion of annual operational and capital budgets and forecasts for the IT Division.
• Assist in testing and facilitate business and system design requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration with a concentration in accounting and/or finance.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting, computerized budgeting, or project cost/financial tracking/reporting.

Nice-to-haves

• Demonstrated time management and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and system testing.
• Ability to provide excellent customer-focused service to resolve problems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and knowledge of Smartsheets.
• Understanding of PeopleSoft/Oracle ERP system and related reporting tools.
