About the position

The IT Application Analyst II is a professional level position at Cleco, a company committed to being the clean energy leader in Louisiana. This role is pivotal in eliciting, analyzing, specifying, and validating the maintenance-related business needs of stakeholders and business partners as they relate to business and technology applications. The analyst will work under the oversight of the Manager - IT Architecture Services, collaborating with the business to implement strategic, operational, and financial plans related to applications. This includes interviewing stakeholders, gathering, and compiling business requirements to understand the maintenance solutions they need. The analyst will also have some oversight on the delivery of strategic projects and system enhancements to accomplish business objectives aligned with corporate strategy. In this role, the IT Application Analyst II will champion a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence. The analyst will collaborate with relevant stakeholders on product vision, strategy, and roadmap, providing input to the Manager of IT - Architecture Services for the development and execution of product life cycle plans for products and applications. Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and promoting effective communication between internal, onshore, and offshore resources will be key aspects of this position. The analyst will also participate in the selection of software solutions, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as SOX or FERC, and maintain adherence to Cleco's incident management and change control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate maintenance-related business needs of stakeholders and business partners.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Provide input to the Manager of IT - Architecture Services for product life cycle plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders; promote effective communication.
  • Work with product stakeholders and project teams to prioritize maintenance requirements.
  • Participate in purchased solutions QA to ensure features and functions are optimized.
  • Participate in the selection of software solutions for the organization.
  • Provide diagrams, charts, and key metrics reports to management as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements such as SOX or FERC.
  • Adhere to Cleco's incident management and change control processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience supporting SAP improvement and deployment projects, preferred.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees to address issues.
  • Ability to manage high workloads and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret KPIs/metrics and derive actionable insights.
  • Drive issues to resolution while maintaining an atmosphere of collaboration.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of industry and technology trends.
  • IT Process Certification (ITIL, Six Sigma) preferred.
