About the position

The IT Application Delivery Manager - FileNet ECM at Zurich North America is responsible for overseeing the application development, maintenance, and improvement of a portfolio of business applications. This role involves managing relationships with business and outsourcing partners to enhance application performance and drive service improvements. The position requires leadership in implementing IT initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall IT strategy while maintaining a focus on customer service and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of specialists to develop and implement IT business processes and manage performance across all activities.
• Implement IT initiatives to improve processes, develop policies, and generate innovation for regulatory compliance and product enhancements.
• Partner with key stakeholders to assess risks associated with proposed policies and regulatory changes.
• Contribute to wider IT strategy and adapt it within the area of responsibility.
• Assess customer needs and recommend process and system improvements to enhance service.
• Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve engagement and provide technical leadership.
• Ensure IT requirements are addressed in projects and ensure successful delivery of IT projects or work streams.
• Work with the business to ensure disaster recovery capabilities meet requirements.
• Respond to internal client requests and issues, solving problems in conjunction with internal partners or external vendors.
• Manage service delivery of applications according to Service Level Agreements and address performance issues.
• Report application service performance and take action to address issues.
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure on infrastructure-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with IT application governance standards and policies.
• Engage in major incident management and facilitate communications to the business.
• Manage internal and external suppliers in application delivery and maintenance.
• Maintain a business-oriented IT service catalogue for applications.
• Monitor critical application governance and report on service level performance.
• Ensure every critical application has a technology roadmap to reduce operational risk.
• Manage customer satisfaction and service improvement programs.
• Approve operational readiness for projects and releases.
• Contribute to the definition of new vendor services in collaboration with Sourcing Management.
• Ensure compliance with internal control and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Application Design and Development, or a High School Diploma with 8 or more years of experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in IBM FileNet Solution Development on large scale and complex projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Vendor management experience.

• Practical experience implementing/managing programs/projects for Content Management systems (FileNet desired).
• Experience with OCR/AI intake solutions for Content Management systems (FileNet desired).
• Experience utilizing .NET technology in delivering IT programs/projects.
• Experience utilizing Agile methodology to lead/deliver IT programs/projects.
• Experience utilizing JIRA or similar tooling.
• P&C - Commercial Insurance, Claims, or Underwriting system experience.
