About the position

The IT Application Developer III / System Integrator Platform Module Owner is a key technical and product leader responsible for managing the System Integration (SI) module within the New Mexico Health Care Authority's data-driven IT ecosystem. This role involves overseeing product development, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and facilitating collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to deliver value through effective system integration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the product backlog and prioritize features for the SI module.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive product development and integration.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure the product stays within budget and meets deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar technical degree.
  • Four years of experience in software programming or equivalent experience as per the substitution table.
  • Extensive experience leading technical teams in product development and integration.
  • Strong background in system integration, including web services, APIs, data mappings, data transformation, MFT, and ICAM technologies.
  • Experience managing vendor performance to ensure adherence to technical and security standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience acting as a Product Owner, defining product vision and setting priorities.
  • Knowledge of IT security standards and experience ensuring compliance during system integration processes.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate between technical and non-technical teams.
