About the position

As an IT Application Programmer/Developer at Driven Brands, you will play a crucial role in administering the IT infrastructure within our organization. This includes managing the physical network components such as Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), servers, and terminals, as well as overseeing server applications and software like PeopleSoft and Oracle. Your responsibilities will span across various IT administration functions, allowing you to work as a generalist or specialize in specific disciplines. In this position, you will be expected to leverage your extensive experience and knowledge to resolve a wide range of complex issues creatively. You will be fully qualified and career-oriented, operating at a journey-level position where you will apply broad principles, theories, and concepts relevant to your field. Your role will involve analyzing data to evaluate identifiable factors and providing resolutions to diverse problems. You will demonstrate good judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, often working with minimal supervision on day-to-day tasks while receiving general instructions for new assignments. Your contributions will be vital in developing the organization's goals and objectives, and your work will be evaluated upon completion to ensure that objectives have been met. You will frequently interact with both internal and external customers, representing the organization on various projects. In some cases, you may take on a project leadership role and supervise the activities of lower-level personnel. Networking with senior internal and external personnel in your area of expertise will also be a key aspect of your role. A university degree or diploma is required, along with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's/Graduate degree with 2-4 years of experience, or a Doctorate/Post-Graduate degree with 0-2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the IT infrastructure including LANs/WANs, servers, and terminals.

Requirements

  • University Degree/Diploma in a relevant field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in IT administration or related roles.
  • May have a Master's/Graduate Degree with 2-4 years of experience or a Doctorate/Post-Graduate Degree with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Full understanding of area of specialization and ability to resolve complex issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional server applications and software.
  • Knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
