About the position

The IT Application Project Manager III is responsible for overseeing multiple information technology projects within Hidalgo County. This role involves project management, research, data analysis, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The individual will work closely with the Information Technology management team to assess, plan, and document project requirements, while also creating reports and maintaining project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned projects within timelines and budgets.
• Track funding and budgetary expenditures for projects.
• Supervise departmental staff assigned to specific project tasks.
• Perform data analysis of project specifications and related data.
• Map out project objectives, timelines, and resource projections.
• Create and maintain documentation for all project phases.
• Exercise proper safety procedures as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Three years of experience in the information technology field.
• Project Management Professional certification preferred but not required.
• Valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with project management systems and tools (e.g., Gantt Charts, MS Project).
• Experience with Microsoft Office or Google G-Suite applications.
• Experience in one or more IT disciplines (operating systems, networks, cyber security, software, databases).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
