About the position

The IT Applications Software Architect at Daikin Applied is responsible for leading design activities across various business functions, applications, and systems. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert in the installation, design, configuration, and specialized testing of applications to support business strategies. The architect will work independently to solve complex problems, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members, all while contributing to the development of new IT standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design activities across multiple business functions, applications, and systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert in the installation, design, configuration, or specialized testing of applications.
• Solve extremely complex problems in creative and effective ways.
• Advise and interact with senior management or executive levels on functional matters.
• Define new theories and methods for application development.
• Contribute technical guidance to the development of applications supporting business strategies.
• Oversee and approve application and system documentation used in design, testing, or programming efforts.
• Recommend new technologies and lead the development of new IT standards and processes.
• Mentor other team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT application solution experience with high-level problem solving and technical project management.
• Experience managing and implementing complex application solutions with high reliability and quality documentation.
• Capability to recommend and lead implementation of new designs and processes for enterprise-level IT applications.
• Experience communicating IT vision and strategy to IT and Business Leaders.
• Broad experience with emerging industry and IT trends.
