About the position

The IT Applications Analyst plays a crucial role in the Administration Department of Indian Rivers Behavioral Health, focusing on the design, implementation, and support of IT systems within the organization. This full-time position requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities to ensure that IT applications meet the needs of various departments while adhering to healthcare standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all assigned duties are implemented according to Indian Rivers Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the ongoing design, build, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of IT systems within the company.
  • Develop, write, and maintain crystal reports and SQL.
  • Develop, write, and maintain monthly and on-demand reporting to various departments and agencies.
  • Serve as a key resource between departments and the Information Technology Department.
  • Review users/customers' needs and implement appropriate technology to meet these needs.
  • Develop procedures related to the use, management, and support of assigned applications.
  • Plan, develop, and implement projects, potentially serving as a project leader or managing small to medium complexity projects.
  • Develop, implement, and document plans for IT applications consistent with requirements and industry standards.
  • Serve as a training resource and mentor for new employees.
  • Participate in on-call and weekend coverage if needed.
  • Develop and implement cost savings and performance improvement processes.
  • Train supervisors and staff on system changes and updates as needed.
  • Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and supervisors.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required and minimum three years IS experience OR Associate's, technical, or non-IS Bachelor's degree and minimum one year IS experience OR Bachelor's degree in CS/CIS/MIS.
  • EHR Vendor Certification must be obtained and maintained.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Applications preferred.
  • Must be able to complete and maintain CPR/First Aid, CPI, and other annual certifications.
  • Current Alabama driver's license and good driving record as defined by Indian Rivers' policy.
  • Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with crystal reports and SQL.
  • Knowledge of clinical or business/revenue cycle workflow in healthcare.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
