About the position

The Cardiac Management Solutions division focuses on developing products that protect and manage cardiac patients, including the LifeVest wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) and the ZOLL cardiac monitor. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the U.S., and your work at ZOLL will ensure that cardiac patients receive the life-saving therapies they need. The LifeVest WCD has already been worn by hundreds of thousands of patients, saving thousands of lives. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for building, maintaining, and utilizing EMR FHIR healthcare interfaces to receive and process health data into our existing platform. You will collaborate with various business units, vendors, and partners to determine product requirements and perform implementation, QA testing, and deployment of technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include interfacing with vendors and hospital staff to understand infrastructure and user experience requirements, developing requirements and designs for significant new features, and supporting software in a clinical environment. You will also assist with unit testing and integration testing of the business application, as well as document and troubleshoot developed solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and utilize EMR FHIR healthcare interfaces to process health data.
  • Interface with vendors and hospital staff to understand infrastructure and user experience requirements.
  • Develop requirements and designs for significant new features for the business application.
  • Build, test, deploy, and support software in a clinical environment.
  • Assist with unit testing and integration testing of the business application.
  • Document and troubleshoot developed solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public health data science, informatics, computer science, computer information systems, or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years' experience working with the applications required.
  • Hands-on experience with interoperability standards such as HL7 V2.x, V3, CDA, CCD, JSON, and FHIR.
  • Experience with SOAP and/or RESTful API connection projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Basic knowledge of the FDA regulatory approval process and its relationship to the development process.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Eventbridge.
