About the position

The SACM Software Analyst (IT Asset Analyst) position at Capgemini is a critical role focused on managing and maintaining the Service Asset Configuration Management (SACM) processes. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) content is accurate and up-to-date by collaborating directly with data owners and stakeholders. This role involves conducting audits of CMDB data, performing internal audits for managed areas, and coordinating remediation efforts as necessary to maintain data integrity and accuracy. The analyst will also facilitate and improve automation through tooling integrations with various data sources, including SCP, customer, and MSI data sources. In addition to data management, the SACM Software Analyst will provide backup and resource availability for Application Performance Management (APM) and collaborate with internal workstreams to enhance processes and streamline operations. The role requires data analysis of existing CMDB data, making recommendations for improvements, and writing documentation for both internal and customer-facing processes. The analyst will participate in currency activities to ensure that documentation aligns with operational processes and procedures, assist in training and guiding team members, and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the SACM process, advising other workstreams as needed. Furthermore, the analyst will work directly with MSI tools to increase self-service options through Service Catalog items and provide support to the Team Manager as required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure CMDB Content is up to date, working directly with Data Owners & Stakeholders.
  • Assist with audits of CMDB data whenever necessary.
  • Perform internal audits for the managed areas required and coordinate remediation efforts as appropriate.
  • Ensure the data integrity and accuracy of information within the CMDB.
  • Review accuracy and completeness of CMDB data.
  • Facilitate and improve automation through tooling integrations with SCP, Customer, and MSI data sources.
  • Provide backup and SACM resource availability for APM.
  • Collaborate with internal workstreams to improve processes and streamline operations.
  • Provide data analysis for existing CMDB data and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Write documentation for internal and customer/SCP facing processes.
  • Participate in currency activities to ensure documentation is aligned with processes and procedures as executed operationally.
  • Assist with training and guidance of team members as needed.
  • Act as SME for the SACM process and advise other workstreams as appropriate.
  • Work directly with MSI tools to increase self-service through Service Catalog items.
  • Provide support and backup to the Team Manager as needed.

Requirements

  • ITIL Certified (in accordance with Global and Local Contractual requirements)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel) and Collaboration tools (i.e. Teams)
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel
  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking abilities
  • Strong time management skills and ability to lead multiple priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, SCPs, DIR, and internal staff
  • Thorough understanding of various roles/service management processes and their dependencies.
