About the position

As an IT Asset Inventory Analyst, you will play a vital role in managing and ensuring the quality and longevity of IT assets within the organization. Your developed computer skills, experience in inventory management, and multitasking abilities will be crucial in maintaining accurate records and compliance with licensing agreements. This position requires a strong attention to detail and excellent business and financial acumen, as you will be responsible for managing systems and databases that contain information regarding licenses, warranties, and service level agreements for both hardware and software. You will also conduct software and licensing audits as needed, ensuring that all assets are accounted for and compliant with company policies. In this role, you will track orders and confirm system lead times, delivery dates, and costs, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner. You will perform daily stock room duties across multiple locations, which includes receiving inventory, updating the inventory management system, conducting internal audits, and monitoring equipment inventory levels. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve tickets for issues and process new requests for hardware and software will be essential in providing excellent service to customers. The position requires at least two years of experience in cost control, inventory, and asset management, along with strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite and asset/inventory management systems. You will need to be able to move large objects up to 50 pounds, demonstrating physical capability alongside your analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also necessary to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage systems and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service level agreements for hardware and software.
  • Record transactional activities to manage versioning and licensing compliance.
  • Conduct software and licensing audits as needed.
  • Manage order acknowledgments, prepare shortage and backlog reports, and provide visibility of potential interruptions.
  • Complete monthly financial chargebacks and submit to Accounts Payable for reconciliation.
  • Track orders and confirm system lead times, delivery dates, and costs.
  • Resolve order discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Track operational and capital funding to ensure that the budget aligns with forecasts.
  • Perform daily stock room duties across multiple locations.
  • Receive inventory and update the inventory management system (i.e., Sphere).
  • Conduct internal audits and monitor equipment inventory levels.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tickets for issues and process new requests for hardware/software for customers.

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of experience in cost control, inventory, and asset management.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent business/financial acumen.
  • Working knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Information Technology, particularly related to asset and inventory management.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and asset/inventory management/ticketing system(s).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
