About the position

The IT Asset Management Analyst at Northrop Grumman is responsible for managing IT inventory, asset management, and technical service contracts. This role involves maintaining software license information, developing IT purchasing standards, and ensuring compliance with corporate and legal guidelines for IT assets. The analyst will also support the Finance department with asset information and manage physical inventory control, while providing support to remote sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of IT inventory, asset management, and technical service contracts.
  • Maintain and manage software license information and updates.
  • Work with Manager and IT Procurement in the development of IT purchasing standards and procedures.
  • Create and manage asset management systems and serve as liaison to the Finance and Legal departments.
  • Ensure corporate and legal guidelines are followed for managing IT hardware and software assets.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement asset management systems for all IT technical assets.
  • Provide support to the Finance department by providing asset information and managing physical inventory control.
  • Define requirements for asset acquisition and procedures, including management and disposal strategies for the enterprise.
  • Prepare asset budget, coordinate with IT Procurement on purchase orders, invoice processing, and reconcile changes in inventory.
  • Remotely support sites at Edward's AFB and El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree with 0 years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience OR Associate's Degree with 4 years of experience OR High School diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of experience.
  • Current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of employment.
  • Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project) and Agile principles including use of associated tools such as Jira.
  • Experience with IT systems and technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active Top Secret, SCI, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access would be nice to have.
  • Previous experience in asset management of technical or high-value assets.
  • Familiarity with ASM, CMDB, or Jira.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems such as desktop computers and network/server devices.
