About the position

The IT Asset Management Analyst/Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will play a critical role in supporting the implementation, documentation, and management of asset and configuration management programs. This includes establishing and updating hardware and software lifecycle processes, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with governance and operational standards. This role will collaborate closely with IT and business units to ensure effective asset and configuration management practices. In this position, you will act as a liaison between IT and other business units to address asset management process issues and improvements. You will be responsible for establishing and updating hardware and software lifecycle processes from acquisition to disposal, monitoring these processes to ensure efficiency and compliance. Additionally, you will develop and implement inventory management processes for hardware and software assets, ensuring accurate and up-to-date inventory records. You will also be tasked with developing, documenting, and maintaining process standards and workflows for asset and configuration management, ensuring that all processes are aligned with industry best practices and organizational goals. Implementing and updating control processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies will be a key responsibility, along with conducting regular audits to verify adherence to established controls. Furthermore, you will develop and enforce policies to maintain process integrity and compliance, ensuring that control evidence is collected and/or stored and made available for all audit and control activities. Providing training and support to stakeholders on asset and configuration management processes will be essential, including developing training materials and conducting workshops as needed. You will generate reports and analytics to provide insights into asset and configuration management performance, conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), and assist in troubleshooting issues. Monitoring data quality and assisting in regular audits to ensure compliance with policies will also be part of your role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in IT asset management processes and best practices.
  • 3+ years of experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools, specifically ServiceNow.
  • 3+ years of experience with ITIL process framework and best practices.
  • Knowledge of configuration (including CMDB) management processes and best practices.
  • Excellent documentation and process development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
