About the position

The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for coordinating the delivery, pickup, and transport of IT assets across various company locations. This role involves conducting inventory audits, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the IT department in managing the lifecycle of assets. The analyst will work closely with multiple departments to ensure compliance with asset management policies and facilitate smooth asset transfers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule pickups of IT assets from different company buildings.
  • Safely transport IT equipment between locations, ensuring minimal risk of damage.
  • Verify asset details during pickup, including serial numbers, condition, and associated documentation.
  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc inventory audits to verify asset records and ensure accuracy.
  • Reconcile physical asset counts with asset management systems.
  • Identify discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of asset movements, including pickup, transport, and delivery.
  • Update asset management systems with accurate information regarding asset status, location, and condition.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on asset inventory, audits, and any anomalies.
  • Assist in the tagging, labeling, and categorization of IT assets.
  • Support the IT department in managing the lifecycle of assets, including decommissioning and disposal processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding asset management.
  • Work closely with IT, facilities, and other departments to facilitate smooth asset transfers and resolve any issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to coordinate activities and address concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in asset management, logistics, or a related role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IT equipment and asset management systems is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling asset records.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment safely.
  • Proficiency in using computers and basic software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, asset management tools).
