About the position

The IT Asset Management Technician is responsible for managing the organization's IT assets, ensuring data quality throughout the asset lifecycle, and creating comprehensive inventory reports. This role requires strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with various teams. The technician will assist with physical inventory audits and provide technical support for desktop computers and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Catalog all IT asset entitlement information.
  • Ensure data quality throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Create and run comprehensive inventory reports across a multi-building organization.
  • Assist with physical inventory audits, including imaging machines and kiosks.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and related software.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues for various devices.
  • Offer software support for operating systems and applications.
  • Assist in device management tasks, including imaging laptops and desktops.
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
  • Document and track technical issues to identify recurring problems.
  • Participate in IT projects and assist with daily operations.
  • Perform pre-configuration of equipment prior to shipment.
  • Validate pre-configured equipment to ensure proper functionality before shipping.
  • Execute basic kitting of equipment and manage the unboxing and processing of equipment for shipping.
  • Clean, test, and inspect IT devices to maintain quality standards.
  • Escalate technical issues to the immediate supervisor as necessary.
  • Contribute suggestions for improving processes and efficiencies.
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows 10, Intune, iOS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with computer repair and refurbishing is a plus.
  • Ability to provide technical support for desktop computers and related software.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Office 365.
