In this role, you will support the complete IT asset lifecycle of hardware (end user, data center, and network) and software (end user, server & database), including planning, obtaining, tracking, and disposing of physical assets. You will maintain a single source of truth for the inventory of all assets, ensuring that the organization has accurate and up-to-date information regarding its IT resources. This position is critical in managing the lifecycle of both hardware and software assets, which includes overseeing software-license entitlement and physical inventory management. You will be responsible for provisioning assets for employee onboarding and off-boarding, receiving, scanning, deploying hardware assets, and updating asset records in the asset database. Additionally, you will follow up and manage asset research and management, resolving exceptions and escalations as they arise. Your responsibilities will also include managing the inventory and lifecycle of hardware and software assets, ensuring that modifications, withdrawals, and additions are correctly recorded by teams to maintain compliance with vendor contracts. You will adopt a continuous improvement approach to enhance the strategies employed in technology spending and tracking company assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) throughout their lifecycle. You will provide scheduled key performance indicator (KPI)/metric information and standardized reporting, including compliance on current assets and trend analyses. Establishing and maintaining documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will take part in other IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and, as required, perform as a backup to maintain operational activities. Collaboration with infrastructure teams to determine trends in asset performance and maintain best practices will be essential to your role.
