About the position

The Software Engineering Internship at Invictus International Consulting offers undergraduate and graduate students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software engineering within the government IT sector. Over the course of 8 weeks, interns will collaborate with peers and senior engineering mentors on meaningful projects that support Federal government clients, enhancing their problem-solving skills and industry knowledge in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow interns on software projects.
• Work under the guidance of senior engineering mentors.
• Participate in information sessions led by subject matter experts in the government IT sector.
• Engage in team-based problem-solving activities.
• Gain exposure to real-world software engineering challenges.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree related to Computer Science, Cyber Engineering, Data Science, or a similar field.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, C, Go, or Rust.
• Understanding of scripting and command-line interface (CLI) usage.
• Basic familiarity with cloud computing concepts, including PaaS and IaaS.
• US citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/CI polygraph clearance.
