About the position

The IT Asset Manager at BNBuilders is responsible for overseeing the procurement, assignment, and lifecycle management of IT devices such as cell phones, laptops, and tablets. This role involves collaboration with HR, IT, and vendors to ensure effective onboarding, inventory management, and cost optimization. The IT Asset Manager will maintain accurate records in Endpoint Manager/Intune and provide monthly reports to leadership, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the IT asset management process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR and IT to assess new hires' mobile needs and manage device procurement.
• Oversee distribution, activation, and assignment of devices to employees or departments.
• Coordinate timely repairs, replacements, and upgrades for mobile devices and workstations.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance to users for device-related issues.
• Maintain inventory records for all mobile devices and computers using Endpoint Manager/Intune.
• Track costs for device procurement, maintenance, and disposal; ensure accurate reporting for monthly invoicing.
• Acquire workstations in line with budgetary constraints and maintain a seed stock for fast deployment.
• Regularly review and adjust Verizon data plans for optimal usage and report cost savings to leadership.
• Track eligibility and coordinate upgrades or device changes as needed.
• Manage laptop integration using Endpoint Manager/Intune, ensuring accurate user assignment and reporting.
• Oversee the return, check-in, and wiping of equipment for redeployment or decommissioning.
• Conduct regular audits and financial assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare monthly billing reports for mobile devices and laptops; provide leadership with updates on inventory and cost savings.
• Serve as the main contact for mobile and laptop-related inquiries, working closely with HR, IT, and Verizon.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in IT asset management, procurement, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with vendors, end users, and leadership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune or similar asset management tools.
• Familiarity with mobile carriers, particularly Verizon, and knowledge of data plan optimization.
• Basic understanding of IT procurement processes and inventory management.
• Ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear, concise manner.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications in IT asset management (e.g., ITIL, CHAMP) or related fields are a plus.
