About the position

The IT Asset & Vendor Management Analyst at Tampa Electric is responsible for maintaining and enforcing the IT and Telecom Asset, Configuration, and Vendor management strategy in a multi-sourced environment. This role involves managing the selection, acquisition, monitoring, and contractual agreements of IT and telecom hardware, software, and maintenance services, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and legal guidelines. The analyst will also support the configuration management function and maintain software licenses information, serving as a point of contact for IT and telecom purchases and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Analyst and/or Sr. IT Asset Management Analyst with the management of workload including Configuration Management requests and IT inquiries.
• Validate, prepare, and submit for payment all telecom invoices for the company.
• Maintain a physical and virtual software licensing library and ensure compliance with software installation.
• Assist in researching, analyzing, and creating reports on newer computer technologies and industry standards.
• Perform daily tasks related to the purchasing database and asset repository management.
• Assist with maintenance administration, including tracking various maintenance renewals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field.
• 4 years of business analyst experience or experience in IT Sourcing, IT Asset Management, or IT Vendor Relationship Management.
• ITIL Foundation Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment.
• Technical competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Knowledge of basic IT Asset Management practices.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to use new software applications.
• Experience with budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior ITIL experience desirable.
• Strong communication skills and customer service focus.
