The Audio Visual Engineer at Desert Diamond Casino West Valley plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the casino's audio visual (A/V) equipment and systems. Under the direct supervision of the IT Support Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating, tracking, designing, setting up, testing, operating, and repairing A/V systems. The engineer will deliver a full range of A/V services to both team members and guests, exercising independent judgment and discretion in their work. This includes troubleshooting technical issues and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of various product platforms. The role also involves designing and performing new system installations and upgrades to existing systems and components, ensuring that all A/V equipment is operational and meets the needs of the casino's events and activities. In addition to maintaining existing audio video equipment, the engineer will be responsible for inventory management, deploying, retrieving, and storing equipment for conference events. Quick response to any A/V system malfunctions or outages is essential, as is the ability to perform necessary corrective actions promptly. The engineer will coordinate the use of A/V equipment for internal and external clients, support and review A/V capabilities available for guests, and provide technical advice and support to resolve problems or identify equipment needs. The role also includes designing new systems and enhancements to existing systems, installing new hardware, upgrading software, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the casino's operations.
