As a member of the Corporate Audit - Global Technology Audit Team, the Senior Audit Manager will oversee and manage assigned areas of technology audit work, providing day-to-day coaching and guidance to teammates. This role executes audit strategy for the sound application of risk-based auditing by defining the annual audit plan, audit scope, audit program, and test procedures. The Senior Audit Manager oversees audit testing to ensure timely execution within quality standards and conformance to audit policies and procedures. This position assesses issues for impact on business processes, controls, and strategies, recommends severity ratings, and escalates broad themes or trends. The role also involves drafting quality and timely audit reports and sharing results with business leaders. Managing business partner relationships when conducting specific audits is essential, with primary engagement being with line management. The Senior Audit Manager exercises critical thinking and judgment to effectively influence management to improve the control environment and fosters an inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage audits of technology systems and data supporting Financial Crimes including BSA/AML, Economic Sanctions, and Fraud related processes.
  • Responsible for managing relevant technology testing (e.g., key automated business controls), IT general controls, data management controls, and other IT controls as indicated in COBIT.
  • Manage staff during audit engagements, providing coaching and feedback on work performed.
  • Leverage available data and analytical tools during the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of audit delivery.
  • Prepare and communicate the results of audit projects to management (written reports/oral presentations).
  • Utilize effective influence skills to communicate findings.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit and management.
  • Ability to juggle multiple work efforts and to quickly change direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Audit, Risk or Compliance experience in a large financial institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of IT audit experience evaluating systems that support BSA/AML, Economic Sanctions, Client Due Diligence / Know Your Customer, Investigations, and Fraud related risks and processes within a large financial institution.
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML, Economic Sanctions, or Fraud risk management programs, regulations (Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, etc.), and internal policies/standards.
  • Displays intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and ability to connect the dots across business and technology risks and controls.
  • Sound organizational, analytical, communication skills, and review of work paper documentation.
  • Proactive, takes initiative to solve problems, resourceful, and self-driven.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hold one or more certifications in: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
  • Experience with automation and/or data analytics in order to assess data quality controls using tools and techniques, such as SQL, Alteryx, Python, etc.
