About the position

The IT Audit Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and executing complex audit engagements related to IT and Cybersecurity. This role involves planning, directing, and supervising audit work performed by staff auditors, ensuring high-quality results and effective communication of audit findings. The position requires a strong understanding of the financial services industry and the ability to evaluate risks and controls while providing practical recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and execute multiple complex audit engagements.
  • Supervise and review audit work performed by staff auditors for IT and Cybersecurity audits.
  • Evaluate risks and controls, analyze root causes of issues, and provide recommendations.
  • Develop, execute, and document audit program test procedures for various audits.
  • Prepare clear and grammatically correct work papers, audit reports, and presentations.
  • Identify and communicate potential process improvements and audit methodology changes.
  • Develop budgets and schedules to achieve high utilization and productivity.
  • Allocate work appropriately and guide team members to meet audit objectives.
  • Coach, mentor, and train staff to produce high-quality results.
  • Perform in-depth work paper reviews and provide feedback to ensure adequate execution and documentation of work.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with audit colleagues and client management.
  • Communicate audit results clearly and timely to appropriate audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting from an accredited university.
  • 6 years of experience in Audit.
  • 6 years of experience managing a team or project.
  • 6 years of client relationship experience.
  • 2 years of experience as a supervisor.
