About the position
The IT Auditor at Baylor Scott & White Health is a staff-level position responsible for evaluating and enhancing the information technology systems and controls to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. This role involves assessing IT processes, identifying risks related to patient data and healthcare operations, and providing actionable recommendations to improve the organization's IT governance and security posture. The position is hybrid, allowing work from either the Dallas, TX, or Temple, TX, office, and typically operates under the guidance of a Senior or Manager level position.
Responsibilities
- Objectively evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the information systems' internal controls surrounding the activities of all departments and entities.
- Assist Management in developing and implementing value-added enhancements to existing systems and processes.
- Assist the Internal Audit Management in identifying potential areas of risk in the Information Services (IS) domain, such as cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Prepare detailed audit reports that clearly outline findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of experience in IT auditing or related field.
