About the position

The BRM Project Manager at Vertiv is responsible for leading large-scale projects with global impact, particularly in the realm of legal applications and systems. This role involves traditional project management tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The position requires effective stakeholder engagement and the ability to manage complex project dynamics in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, execute, and complete large-scale complex projects.
  • Monitor and control project activities from proposal through closure phases.
  • Accountable for project management planning and execution tasks, including estimating, scope, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Continuously assess project health, anticipating risks and developing mitigation plans.
  • Develop and manage project recovery plans when necessary.
  • Collect and analyze data to create effective written status reports.
  • Create and deliver effective written and verbal project status reports.
  • Proactively engage stakeholders, providing timely and transparent project status updates.
  • Identify task dependencies and ensure project schedule is unimpeded.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution.
  • Provide executive-level program updates to the Program Management Team.
  • Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path.
  • Develop reporting and tracking programs to assure project targets are met.
  • Identify key issues and drive decisions to prevent project delays.
  • Identify key risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Work with management to identify and obtain required resources for project staffing.
  • Interact with all levels of management, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Build cohesive teams by partnering and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Direct activities of project team members and balance workload.
  • Contribute to the development of processes as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
  • At least 7 years of project management experience.
  • Experience supporting corporate function applications, preferably in legal systems.
  • Strong project planning and organizational skills.
  • PMP or Agile Certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience leading projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent presentation skills, adaptable to audience levels.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Understanding of cultural influences on project communication.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, ServiceNow, and Smartsheet.
  • In-depth knowledge of Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
