About the position

The IDB Group is seeking a meticulous and proactive Business Analyst/Project Manager (BA/PM) to join their team in Washington, DC. This role is critical in analyzing SEC operations and IDB Group processes to improve efficiency and translate them into system requirements. The BA/PM will facilitate project activities, manage stakeholder communication, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes to understand end-to-end workflows, identify defects, inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Facilitate the gathering, analysis, and documentation of requirements in compliance with project standards.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments and identify obstacles blocking the team's progress.
  • Support the product owner in managing the product backlog and ensuring project goals are understood.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to coordinate efforts and manage communication.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities including procurement, monitoring, financial management, and reporting.
  • Prepare functional specifications and draft Terms of Reference for project consultants and vendors.
  • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and support training material preparation.
  • Document and report bugs, conduct testing upon resolution, and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Oversee the solution identification process, including vendor demos and RFP processes.
  • Lead peer reviews of requirement documents and supervise project reports and financial management.
  • Oversee the launch of project solutions, ensuring a smooth rollout and maximizing impact.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Project Management, Communications, or Business Analytics.
  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in related tasks.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written; knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
  • Desirable to be a certified Scrum Master (CSM or DASM).
