About the position

The IT Business Analyst will focus on documentation and compliance within a government domain. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with business processes, building KPIs and dashboards, and maintaining compliance data. The position requires strong documentation skills and experience in business analysis, particularly in IT organizations.

Responsibilities

• Business process documentation
• Work with owners on action item tasks for compliance
• Building KPIs and dashboards
• Gather and analyze diverse sets of data from multiple sources and stakeholders
• Review audit reports and extract action plans
• Organize and maintain compliance data in applicable trackers/databases
• Periodically re-check sources for compliance-related updates
• Schedule and conduct periodic check-ins with stakeholders for compliance-related updates
• Assist with dashboard generation and maintenance
• Assist team in gathering and analyzing information about key departmental business processes, their owners, interactions, inputs, and outputs.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in a business analyst role in an IT organization
• Solid documenter with attention to details
• Solid experience with Microsoft Office products, including O365 platform, Teams, and SharePoint
• Experience with MS Visio or similar tool
• Previous experience in a compliance role.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Quickbase
• Experience with PowerBI
• Experience with Snowflake
• Certification in CAP, CBAP, CBDA, CFLBA, PBA (not mandatory, good to have)
