About the position

At ADS, we are committed to innovation and creativity, and we are looking for an IT Business Analyst specializing in HR Systems to support our Human Resource operations. This role is crucial as it involves working closely with business users across multiple units to understand their needs and translate them into effective technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resource processes and will collaborate with IT Business Analysts, developers, and database administrators to determine the best technical strategies to meet business requirements. The position also involves working with technology implementation partners to design and implement HR technology solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our applications. The primary goal of this position is to ensure that our business users can utilize our applications to their fullest potential. The successful candidate will evaluate business processes, document requirements, and identify areas for improvement. They will also respond to inquiries from business users regarding software and business functions, maintain module configurations, and produce ad-hoc reports for HCM or other business systems. As a liaison between business users and technical resources, the analyst will participate in the change management process, perform requirements analysis, and ensure that solutions align with business needs. In addition to these responsibilities, the IT Business Analyst will continually research new HCM applications and system functionalities, participate in ongoing reviews of business processes, and develop optimization strategies. They will also be responsible for writing and maintaining end-user documentation, developing test plans, and performing system testing of both standard software and custom enhancements. The role may involve attending conferences and user group meetings to stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Overall, this position is integral to maintaining compliance with GITC controls and providing daily production support as needed, all while upholding ADS's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business processes, document requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • Respond to questions/issues raised by business users regarding software and business functions.
  • Maintain module configurations to tailor software functions to best meet the needs of the business.
  • Produce 'ad-hoc' reports for HCM or other business systems' data.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical resources (developers/database administrators).
  • Participate in the change management process including documentation and communication.
  • Perform requirements analysis.
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Research and understand new HCM applications or other system functionality.
  • Participate in ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies utilizing HCM or other system functionality.
  • Write/maintain end user documentation.
  • Develop test plans, perform and document system testing of standard software and custom enhancements.
  • Attend conferences and/or user group meetings, as deemed appropriate by manager.
  • Follow all current department policies, especially regarding the use of workload management tools.
  • Ensure full compliance with GITC controls.
  • Initiate HCM ticket request and monitor to satisfactory resolution.
  • Provide daily production support as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with preferred major in business, human resource, or information technology.
  • Functional experience in Oracle HCM Cloud software.
  • Strong functional understanding of supported business systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to drive and embrace change.
  • Self-starter with ability to work on teams, as well as quickly learn new functionality.

Nice-to-haves

  • IIBA Core Business Analysis Certifications is a plus.
  • Oracle certifications is a plus.
  • ITIL certified is a plus.
  • 2+ years of business analyst experience in HR.
  • 2+ years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud applications.
  • HR Business Process Experience: Workforce Management, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Onboarding.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, Payroll, Time and Attendance are a plus.
  • Understanding of SQL.
