About the position

The SAP Business Analyst I will participate in a cross-functional team environment as part of the DFA Shared Applications Team. This position will be responsible for becoming knowledgeable in implementing, maintaining, and enhancing SAP business applications, with a primary focus on Quality Management (SAP QM). The candidate will interact with key business users to configure and enhance SAP business applications as needed to meet business requirements. This includes supporting project teams, providing input on system design, integration testing, user training, and post go-live support. Additionally, the candidate will provide day-to-day production support, coordinating with team members and external consultants, while adhering to approved DFA project management and governance standards. The role requires the ability to gather business requirements and transform them into SAP business application processes that can be implemented and supported. The candidate will coordinate or actively participate with Shared Applications team members or business users in the analysis, design, development, documentation, performance testing, and implementation of technical business solutions. Working closely with the business, the candidate will translate business requirements into functional specifications and define, gather, and load the master data needed to support applications delivered. Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements and transform them into SAP business application processes that can be implemented and supported.
  • Coordinate or actively participate with Shared Applications team members or business users in the analysis, design, development, documentation, performance testing, and implementation of technical business solutions.
  • Work with the business to translate the business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Define, gather, and load the master data needed to support applications delivered.
  • Follow DFA Development, Governance and Project Management standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with business users, stakeholders, technical teams, and various levels of management.
  • Ability to listen and communicate in a clear and concise manner, tailoring communications to the audience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage time and resources to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities as a self-starter, setting direction and completing assignments.
  • Ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Flexibility with work schedules and availability to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability and willingness to do ‘what it takes'.
  • Ability to work on-call.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
