About the position

Valvoline Global is seeking an IT Business Analyst I to support various business systems in an entry-level capacity. This role is pivotal in managing the day-to-day progress of technology projects, acting as a bridge between business needs and IT solutions. The IT Business Analyst I will leverage a deep understanding of business processes and technology to assist business partners in achieving their desired outcomes. The position requires the application of standard project management skills to oversee the full lifecycle of projects, including planning, delivery, and execution. The analyst will also need to possess some technical skills to facilitate analysis and problem-solving for the assigned business units. In this role, the IT Business Analyst I will influence and manage project decisions from the ideation phase through to the steady state environment. The analyst will coordinate with training teams for deployment and support, ensuring that all necessary resources, including external vendors and partners, are engaged throughout the project lifecycle. Regular status reporting on project assignments, including any deviations from the plan, will be essential to keep stakeholders informed. The analyst will also be responsible for identifying issues and risks that may impact project quality or delivery from various perspectives—technical, business, or end-user. They will aid in developing plans to mitigate these issues, document solutions, and ensure that stakeholders are aware of any risks and mitigation strategies. Compliance with corporate and IT policies, including IT security regulations, is crucial, especially when new technologies are involved. The role may also require support for newly released projects until adequate knowledge transfer has been completed with the relevant teams. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with support and development teams to investigate and analyze systems-related root causes, gaining familiarity with Salesforce Clouds, including Sales, Service, Manufacturing, Experience, and Commerce Clouds.
