As an IT Business Analyst I, you will play a crucial role in assisting Product Managers by scoping proposed solutions that lead to accurate cost and time estimates. In this role, you will act as the liaison between the business and technical teams throughout the solution delivery process. You will work closely with Agile practices, including user story writing, to ensure that the needs of Product Owners are thoroughly understood and documented. Your responsibilities will include gathering both functional and non-functional requirements, performing functional acceptance testing of enhancements, patches, and upgrades, and troubleshooting systems in a production support environment. Additionally, you will assist users in resolving functional and system issues within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and provide end-user instruction, training, and support to address application issues. You will also contribute to the design and formulation of solutions, ensuring that they meet the needs of the business while being technically feasible.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between the business and the technical team members through the solution delivery process.
  • Work with Agile practices and associated skills including user story writing.
  • Conduct detailed interrogation of Product Owners' needs and gather functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Help perform functional acceptance testing of enhancements, patches, and upgrades.
  • Perform system troubleshooting in a production support environment.
  • Assist users in solving both functional and system issues within agreed-to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Provide end-user instruction, training, and support to resolve application issues.
  • Assist in designing and formulating solutions.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, and/or Finance.
  • Up to 3 years of hands-on IT/computing experience.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present them in simple terms to non-technical team members.
  • Experience in documenting complex business requirements, functional specifications, and test scenarios.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Self-directed, self-learner.
